Handwrap Guide

When handwrapping, make sure the wrap is snug but not too tight. You should still be able to move your fingers comfortably. Cover both the knuckles and wrist fully for maximum protection.

Practice makes perfect! Follow along with visual instructions if you're new to wrapping.

How to use Boxing Handwraps with Boxing Gloves

Step-by-Step Handwrap Instructions

  1. Thumb Loop: Start by placing the loop of the handwrap around your thumb. Ensure the wrap lies flat and secure.
  2. Secure the Wrist: Wrap around your wrist 2–3 times. This provides stability and support to your wrist during punches.
  3. Go to the Hand: Bring the wrap across the back of your hand and begin covering your knuckles.
  4. Wrap the Knuckles: Loop around the knuckles 2–3 times for added padding and protection.
  5. Wrap Between the Fingers:
    • Go between the pinky and ring fingers first.
    • Then pass the wrap between the ring and middle fingers.
    • Finally, wrap between the middle and index fingers. This step prevents the wraps from bunching.
  6. Return to the Knuckles: After securing the fingers, return to the knuckles for another 2 loops.
  7. Back to the Wrist: Bring the wrap back down to the wrist and loop it securely.
  8. Finish the Wrap: Use the remaining length of the wrap to go around the wrist. Fasten the Velcro closure snugly.
